2011-2020
🏜️ My video production and content creation journey began in Lancaster, CA, a small desert town in the Antelope Valley and the Mojave Desert. In 2016, I was hired by the City of Lancaster as a Video Producer/Editor. From my official start date to the tail end of 2019, I produced and edited news stories for their social media and TV channel.
During those informative years, I had the opportunity to work part-time at Streamline Audiovisual. Setting up LED video walls, audio mixers, etc (it was more fun, too).
By 2019, I found myself creating social media content for high-profile clients such as Morongo Casino and Soboba Casino.
2020-2021
😷 During the COVID-19 pandemic (fun times), remote work positions became commonplace. A video editing position at Tubescience with an emphasis on "Testimonial/User-Generated Content (UGC) caught my eye. I've heard those terms in passing. But never really understood what they meant. Regardless, I decided to give it a shot. In December 2019, after several attempts at an interview (and maybe some begging), I was officially hired as a Video Editor. Transitioning to Ad Creative and Pay-Per-Performance advertising. I learned about CPA, ROAS, PAS, AIDA, Conversions... basically strategy, and growth stuff.
2022
🌲 I relocated to Portland, OR, in early 2022. Because… trees and good coffee. I recommend One Moto Cafe if you also like motorbikes.
But in all seriousness, I had no real plans to move to Oregon. I just had an opportunity to move away from my hometown, and I took it. It was the best decision of my life.
2023
🪜 After a few years of editing video ads for direct-to-consumer (DTC) clients such as Prose Hair Care, Dose For Your Liver, IPSY, and Earth Breeze, I was promoted to a managerial role at Tubescience as a Lead Video Editor. I now manage a team of editors based in the U.S. and South America, building rapport, implementing project management skills, and training based on areas of improvement. But most importantly, being an empathic leader and mentor for those eager to excel in their work.

⚡️ Although the opportunities I mentioned were/are full-time commitments, I have been freelancing as a Video Producer/Editor for quite some time. As of now, I offer creative solutions for local artists and businesses in the Portland area. Specializing in music videos, event videography, and more under the DBA "Voltify Video."

🥱 I was going to add an insane amount of SEO nonsense here to please the almighty algorithm, but I won't. I'd rather speak like a human because, in this day and age, I fear we are missing the human element more than ever.
